  2. jc pomerleau from Canada writes: A sample of the 'open federalism' a la Harper. He is open to take over unilateraly the Quebec s exclusives juridictions. Get that monkey out of our back please.
  3. A Better Canada from No Quebec, Canada writes: If Michaud is serious about protecting the small shareholders, he should investigate the files of a thousand victims of Caisses Desjardins, and establish rules in Quebec to protect small entrepreneurs, at mercy of vicious attorneys. But forget it. Michaud will neve dare to touch the fascist group. Just another hypocrite, looking for having his picture in the media.
  4. Bob Verdun from Kitchener, Canada writes: I am certainly very disappointed by the tone of the first three reader comments on this article. I have had the privilege and pleasure of working with Yves Michaud since 1997, and together we have made vast improvements in corporate governance in Canada. This country used to be far behind the United States in terms of individual shareholder rights; now we are in the lead (at least with many of our largest corporations).
Investors are conservative people and do not quickly embrace change as proposed by shareholder activitists, so the process has been slow and incremental -- but highly effective. It would be much more effective if other investors joined the movement with constructive criticism rather than sniping anonymously.
Thanks to the Globe and Mail for recognizing the important work led by Yves Michaud and his significant Quebec-based group. He is highly respected in Quebec, and deserves greater recognition in the rest of Canada. At 77, he is still fighting for all of us!

  5. Leaps Frogg from Montreal, Canada writes: ABCfNQ, there you go again, with your usual vomit on quebec and desjardins. Why don't you tell us your story, uh? Tell us the names of the thousands of victims, the names of the attorneys, coward. Perhaps Desjardins is not the culprit.
In the mean time, Michaud is talking about your cherished BANKS, reaping huge benefits from their clients, not returning a cent, as opposed to desjardins... I'm sure we can find horror stories involving your cherished banks, with their thousands of victims and their vicious attorneys?
  6. CD W from Simcoe County, Canada writes: Typical of a quebecker, imagine if this was applied to citizenship, hey you, immigrant boy, no votes for you. Hey recent citizen, not here long enought, no health care for you. Same old same old from quiet revolution.
  7. Leaps Frogg from Montreal, Canada writes: ABC f NQ, I overviewed this blog. Effectively, some facts are troubling, but to put on a whole province the vices of a few, well, is GREATLY exagerated, you write on this blog the same rant as on these pages and for as long you hide behind this little wall of internet, you'll get NOTHING DONE. You also hide the "fNQ" part of your nickname. You hide yourself, you do nothing.
You'd better do like Michaud and come to the forefront, if you ever hope to change things around you and for your country. How do you know Michaud is paid by Desjardins?

Much is being said ABC f NQ, but nothing is being done.
