  1. Mike Daly from Winnipeg, Canada writes: I think this gentleman may already be doing a better job promoting Manitoba than the much better funded Travel Manitoba. I'm not a free enterprise crusader by any means, but this strikes me as one example of where one guy with a good idea and some old-fashioned chutzpah is generating ideas and results that should be garnering attention in government circles.
  2. Route 90 from Winnipeg, Canada writes: Kudos to the entrepreneur who has taken on this Herculean task! As a Manitoban who has travelled extensively abroad, there have been many moments when I thought that the "exotic" getaway I was experiencing could not compare to a similar situation at home. For example, I was hiking through a cloud forest in Costa Rica with a group when the guide stopped abruptly because of a "rare" sighting of a red-tailed deer. The event was treated with an almost religious reverence. I almost burst out laughing. Yesterday, for example, I had to wait a number of times for deer to cross the fairways at my local, municipal golf course (inside the Winnipeg city limits)... so I wouldn't hit them!
  3. Ryanne Malloy from Canada writes:

One great thing about living in Manitoba (and there are really not that many) is that we have a lot of space with a great many natural, unspoiled places, and a low population to enjoy it. It is easy to get away to where no one else is.

I'd like to keep it that way. We enjoy a high standard of living, an even higher quality of life, and very low unemployment. Winnipeg has much to offer in the arts and culture. I see no need to promote tourism here.
  4. The Skipper from Canada writes: Good for you and I hope you keep on growing your business !

Employers should also take heed when this story mentioned that this individual got a promotion ,ie: more hours, less money.
    Stupid employer !
