A long left-wing wish list for coalition short on cohesion

MONTREAL -- Stephen Harper dreamed of transforming Canada the way Ronald Reagan remade the United States. Instead, he risks going down looking like Jimmy Carter.If he does, he will have been right about one thing. He promised a few years ago that he'd leave behind a country that "Liberals wouldn't even recognize." Indeed, more than a few true Grits can't believe their eyes these days. They think in terms of Laurier and JFK, but find their party in a coalition led by Marx and Engels, propped up by Castro.
