Vale Inco set to cut Sudbury output
Nickel giant Vale Inco Ltd. is preparing to cut production at its Sudbury operations in response to plunging base metal prices, sources say.The company could announce the production cutbacks as early as today, people familiar with the situation said. It is unclear whether the company will lay off employees or offer early retirement packages to some workers.
